Day 01 Arrive in Delhi
Arrive Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Meet & Greet at the airport by Scat Travel's representatives. Escorted transfer to your hotel by air-conditioned vehicle.
Delhi stands as the capital of Modern India. Here you can see the mingling of the Old and New India, the ancient and the modern. Delhi is made up of seven ancient cities, spanning the period from the 11th to 20th centuries. Delhi has seen the rise and fall of many emperors, which have left behind a plethora of monuments that commemorate the grandeur and glory of bygone ages.
Day 02 Delhi - Samode 190 kms/04 hrs
After breakfast drive to Samode, with fairy-tale palace. Samode Palace was built in the late 19th century by a kinsman (and Prime Minister) of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Its Rang Mahal ("Palace of Colors") is a little gem of ornamentation, with its gilded and painted walls and mirror-worked ceilings. Beyond this lies Sheesh Mahal, with its dazzling inlays of mirror-work and glass, and painted friezes of hunts and durbar scenes. The palace, now a romantic hotel, was used as a location for a film based on The Far Pavilions On arrival check-in at hotel. Day 03 Samode - Jaipur 45 Kms/01 hrs
After breakfast depart for Jaipur - the land of the Rajput part, the exciting Indian trail. It is here that the seekers of India experience their fantasy of a voyage of discovery. Jaipur is an exuberance of color, dance and song with the traditional arts and crafts. Known as the 'Pink City' is one of India's most well planned cities with wide straight avenues, roads, streets and lanes in a grid system. Arrive Jaipur, check-in at hotel.
In the afternoon, we take the sightseeing tour of Jaipur City. This tour takes you to the Hawa Mahal or the "Palace of Winds", the City Palace complex with its museums and Jantar Mantar, the ancient astronomical observatory. Overnight at hotel
Day 04 Jaipur - Agra 232 kms / 05 hrs
After breakfast you make an excursion to Amber Fort. Here, enjoy an Elephant Ride to reach the top of the Fort. Once the capital of royals, the fort is a superb example of Rajput architecture, a complex of palaces, temples, exquisite marble and mirror - inlaid halls and apartments. In the afternoon, we drive to Agra & En route visit Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri -It is a masterpiece of Muslim architecture unique in India. Built in red sandstone in honour of Saint Salim Chisti who foretold the birth of 3 sons to Emperor Akbar, this city is an example of robust stability combined with originality. Each important edifice here represents a type by itself. Notable among them is the Diwane-I-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), Panch Mahal (Five Storied Palace), the Tomb of Saint Salim Chisti, and the Buland Darwaza (Great Gateway). Continue drive to Agra. Arrive Agra city and check-in into your hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 Agra
After Breakfast tour of the city, visiting the world famous Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort.
Agra City Tour -We begin with The Agra Fort, lying across the River Yamuna, is built in red sandstone and has magnificent palaces, halls of public and private audience and beautiful gardens. This is where Emperor Shah jehan was kept under house arrest by his third son Aurangzeb and spent the last year of his life viewing the Taj Mahal from the little octagonal tower in the Fort.
Now our focus shifts to The Taj Mahal, a poem in white marble, is a fine example of the fusion of many architectural styles. Built in 1652 by Emperor Shah jehan, it took almost 22 years to build it by 20,000 skilled artisans who inlaid the white marble edifice with precious and semi precious stones. We will remain at the Taj Mahal to enjoy its' awesome beauty at sunset. Return to hotel for overnight.
Day 06 Agra - Delhi 200 Kms/4-½ hrs
After leisurely Breakfast we drive to Delhi. Arrive Delhi & transfer to hotel.
Evening return to the Red Fort to watch the "Son et Lumire" show which is interplay of colorful lights and sound tracing the history of monument till date. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 Old & New Delhi
After Breakfast Proceed to the Old Delhi tour was an ancient walled city. Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in 1650 switched the Mughal capital from Agra to Delhi. Here you will see Red Fort, the most opulent Fort and Palace of the Mughal Empire. The fort is Shah Jehan's symbol of power and elegance, built behind red sandstone walls. Also visit Raj Ghat, the memorial site of the Mahatma Gandhi; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India.
New Delhi was designed and built by the British in the 1920's-it's a city of wide boulevards impressive Government buildings, green parks and gardens. In 1911 King George V announced the transfer of the capital from Calcutta to Delhi. Your drive takes you along the ceremonial avenue, past the imposing India Gate and Parliament House & President House. You will visit the monuments Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar. Overnight stay.
Day 08 Depart for onwards Destination
Say good-bye to this fascinating Land with sweet and memorable memories. Transfer to Indira Gandhi International airport to board the for onward Destination/ Hometown
